To establish a performance benchmark for DV-QKD, we conducted a detailed evaluation of Secure Key Rate (SKR) and Quantum Bit Error Rate (QBER) under controlled conditions.

đź“Ś Key Findings:
âś… Highest SKR in a back-to-back (B2B) unfiltered setup: 22.6 kb/s, generating cryptographic keys in 30 seconds.
âś… Minimal impact of band filters, reducing SKR by only 0.5% (21.6 kb/s) despite minor attenuation.
✅ QBER trends: Signal QBER is slightly higher in the unfiltered setup, while decoy QBER improves—offering limited insights for this comparison.
âś… Impact of attenuation: The system supports attenuation levels up to 20-21 dB, with SKR reductions of 1.4 kb/s per dB (0-8.25 dB) and 0.94 kb/s per dB (8.25-15.7 dB) as fibre length increases.

These results provide a solid reference for analyzing how real-world network conditions—such as link distances and quantum-classical coexistence—affect DV-QKD performance.
